Mission Statement

ETI School of Skilled Trade’s mission is to teach students the technical and professional skills needed to gain entry-level employment in the growing HVAC/R or Skilled Welder industries. ETI believes in providing a positive, supportive, engaging, and student-centered learning environment to all students.

Vision Statement

ETI’s responsibility is to focus on providing the highest levels of customer service and student satisfaction. ETI training will prepare our students to meet the demanding responsibilities of the industries in which we train students by creating environments that simulate the work-place, maintaining industry-current equipment, and providing faculty of higher caliber to provide education and training that will give our students the skills and competitive edges needed to sustain long-lasting careers in the HVAC/R and Welding Industries.

Skilled Welding Certificate Program

The Skilled Welding Program is designed to be the ultimate “hands on” learning experience. ETI School of Skilled Trades will provide top level training of Cutting, Stick, MIG, and TIG welding applications. Over 75% of your time at ETI is spent in our 12,000 sq. ft. lab welding! OSHA Safety is integrated into the curriculum to promote a safe environment in both the lab and in your career. This program has both day and evening programs for your convenience, and can be completed in as little as 7 months. Training content is aligned with The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Welding Curriculum. ETI School of Skilled Trades has now been recognized as an AWS Certified Welding Facility. We are currently the only AWS Certified Welding Facility in the Chicagoland area.

Heating, Air Conditioning and Regrigeration (HVAC/R) Certificate Program

The HVAC/R program provides top level Instruction covering the HVAC/R industry. ETI prepares a student with not only the knowledge, but the hands on application of all facets of the industry. Students spend over 60% of their time working in the 13,000 sq. ft. HVAC/R lab.

ETI strives to give the student the necessary knowledge in Duct work, Electricity, Conduit Bending, Furnaces, Boilers, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and all diagnostic knowledge to properly repair and install all residential and light commercial equipment. This program has both day and evening classes for your convenience, and can be completed in as little as 7 months. Graduates will test for their Section 608, EPA Universal Certification 410A and can test for multiple HVAC/R and Automotive certifications. Training content is aligned with The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) HVAC/R Curriculum.
